Canadian Pulses

Canada is known to be the largest producer and exporter of green lentils in the world. To be more exact, the province of Saskatchewan produces more than 90% of Canada’s lentils. The greenish seed color and the large size of its premium lentils have put Canada’s lentils in high demand throughout the world.

 

Green Lentils

Canadian green lentils have different varieties but at KGT we mainly focus on Laird no.1 as it is considered to be the premium variety with a rich flavor and texture. Laird No1 with 7mm in size is the larger seed size in the green lentil category.
